Austar takes its environmental obligations seriously and is committed to maintaining environmental compliance as well as open and timely engagement with the community and other stakeholders during closure planning and execution.

Austar is committed to continue to manage the site in accordance with its environmental compliance obligations and best practice during mine closure planning and execution until rehabilitation is complete.

Austar has reviewed and updated all its environmental management plans to reflect the transition to closure and to address any changes to environmental management requirements for closure activities.
